Start discovering writing ideas from where you already are, and still explore!
I have been researching magazines – online and print, newsletters, newspapers, my favorite news shows, etc., looking for things to write about and forums to write in. I was reading the Detroit Free Press a few days ago, when I discovered an article written by a staff reporter there about researchers at the University of Michigan who are developing software to help criminal justice professionals determine whether people are lying. This software is different than the traditional methods used in the traditional polygraph test: a person’s heart rate, breathing rate, and skin temperature.
This article reminded me that sometimes writing ideas are right under our own noses.
